The Colin McRae Nova – A681 DNT
If you have ever wanted to trace the Nova Sport back to its roots you would be hard pressed to find many that would argue against this car being one of the key players in the Nova Sport’s History.
This car has been owned by several people over the years but its two most notable owners are Harry Hockley, and more famously Colin McRae who drove it to some Giant-Killing wins during 1987 and 1988 before he moved on to the Blue Oval side.
Before the car passed from Harry to Colin the car was used by “Car and Car Conversions” magazine for a feature with rising Formula One star Ayrton Senna. Senna was to drive several rally cars in a Welsh forest in an article that had a headline not many would have expected “Ayrton Senna – Rally Driver”.

Although the the Nova gets very little other than a small appearance as a Metro 6R4 pulls away, a video of the day was made and is on youtube. You can view the video here:
